Modernized Convenience

Known as the premiere carrier hotel in the world, 60 HUDSON is one of the country’s most important core nerve centers of data interconnectivity and the telecommunications hub of the Northeast region.

60 HUDSON boasts more than 1,000,000 RSF, housing several hundred telecommunications and data service providers and many other diverse commercial users. Situated in the center of Manhattan’s popular TriBeCa neighborhood, 60 HUDSON spans the entire block between Hudson Street, West Broadway, Worth Street and Thomas Street, making it an optimal destination for existing and future tenants.

Building

One of the most iconic buildings in TriBeCa’s burgeoning corporate district, 60 HUDSON is an Art Deco masterpiece, designed and built in 1930 by famous architect Ralph Walker and his firm Voorhees, Gmelin & Walker. Along with its high technological capacities, tenants and visitors enjoy the magnificent interior space, most notably the lobby, complete with a barrel-vaulted Guavastino tile ceiling, proscenium-like entryways of patterned brick and bronze at each end & shiny terrazzo floor.

An Art Deco Landmark

Designated a historic landmark in 1992 by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, 60 HUDSON—for many years called the Western Union Building—was a breakthrough hub of worldwide communications during the telegraph era.

In 1973 Western Union moved its headquarters to New Jersey, and in a fitting arc of symmetry, 60 HUDSON was converted into North America’s premier carrier hotel, where more than 100 domestic and global telecommunications companies each have a presence and interconnect via the colocation facility’s secure-environment meet-me-room.
